According to “SSI Steel House Contest 2008”, the cooperation project between Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited and the Iron & Steel Institute of Thailand, The decision in semi-final round contest was made on 25th February, 2009 by the contest committee. There were 102 works passed the ground rule. 41 works from that have been selected to the selection round which consist of 19 works from student level and 22 works from professional level.
The contest committee had picked up 13 from 41 works which was divided into 2 category levels; student 8 works and professional 5 works. The works of the participants who pass such round will be developed into the model (for the professional level) and the presentation (for the student level). The winners of both levels will receive the trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and the total award worth 1,000,000 Baht. The final decision will be announced in this coming April.

13 ผลงานเยี่ยมเข้ารอบ “SSI Steel House Contest 2008”
เมื่อวันที่ 25 กุมภาพันธ์ ที่ผ่านมา คณะกรรมการจัดการประกวดออกแบบบ้านเหล็ก“SSI Steel House Contest 2008” โดยความร่วมมือระหว่าง บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) และ สถาบันเหล็กและเหล็กกล้าแห่งประเทศ ได้ประกาศผลการตัดสินรอบคัดเลือก จากผลงานที่ส่งเข้าประกวดและผ่านหลักเกณฑ์ จำนวนทั้งหมด 102 ชิ้น ปรากฎว่ามีผลงานผ่านการตัดสินในรอบแรกจำนวน 41 ชิ้น เป็นผลงานจากระดับนักศึกษา 19 ชิ้น ระดับวิชาชีพ 22 ชิ้น
สำหรับผลงานที่ผ่านการตัดสินจากรอบแรกทั้ง 41 ชิ้น ได้รับการพิจารณาจากคณะกรรมการให้ผ่านเข้ารอบสอง จำนวนทั้งหมด 13 ชิ้น เป็นผลงานระดับนักศึกษา 8 ชิ้น และระดับวิชาชีพ 5 ชิ้น ทั้งนี้ผู้เข้ารอบ จะนำผลงานไปพัฒนาเป็นแบบจำลองสำหรับในระดับวิชาชีพ และแบบนำเสนอผลงานสำหรับระดับนิสิต นักศึกษาต่อไป โดยผู้ชนะการประกวดทั้ง 2 ระดับ จะได้รับรางวัลถ้วยพระราชทานจากสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาสยามบรมราชกุมารีฯ และเงินรางวัลรวม 1,000,000 บาท การประกาศผลการตัดสินจะมีขึ้นในเดือนเมษายนนี้
