Sahaviriya Steel Industry Co.,Ltd. (“SSI”) joined with Ban-Sai-Phetch residents on the reforestation activity “Bring the Forest Back to Our Father” to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 7th cycle and 84th birthday anniversary, and re-establish the original forest ecosystem at denuded forest area of 20 rai, Ban-Sai-Phetch, Bangsaphan District, Prachuab Khirikhan Province, on August 20, 2011. The event got crowded with above 200 participants from local residents of Ban-Sai-Phetch, students from Silpakorn University and Bangsaphan Industrial and Community Education College, and employees.

บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ ร่วมกับ ชุมชนบ้านสายเพชร จัดกิจกรรมปลูกป่า “คืนผืนป่าให้พ่อ” เฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ครบ 7 รอบ 84 พรรษา และฟื้นฟูระบบนิเวศดั้งเดิมของป่า ณ พื้นที่ป่าเสื่อมโทรมจำนวน 20 ไร่ บ้านสายเพชร อ.บางสะพาน จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เมื่อวันที่ 20 สิงหาคม 2554 โดยมีชาวบ้านสายเพชร นักศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรและวิทยาลัยการอาชีพบางสะพาน พนักงาน กว่า 200 คน เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมอย่างแข็งขัน
