Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. or SSI in collaboration with the Educational District Office of Prachuap Khirikhan, Area 1 will conduct the “Youth Conservation Camp” Project for the 5th year. This project which will be arranged for the youth from 43 schools in the areas of Bang Saphan District, Prachuap Khirikhan will be the camping activities for 3 days 2 nights during 9-11 October at Bangsaphan Kindergarten School. The objectives are to teach the youth about conservation of local natural resources and environment through theory and practice. This activity shows that SSI was not concerned only with internal environment but also with external environment and community resourses.

เอสเอสไอ เริ่มแล้ว ค่ายนักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์ครั้งที่ 5

บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือเอสเอสไอ ร่วมกับ สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เขต 1 ร่วมเปิด “ค่ายนักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์ รุ่นที่ 5” ให้เยาวชนในพื้นที่บางสะพาน กว่า 43 โรงเรียน จำนวน 80 คน ร่วมทำกิจกรรมเข้าค่ายพักค้างแรม เป็นเวลา 3 วัน 2 คืน ระหว่างวันที่ 9 – 11 ตุลาคม 2552 ณ โรงเรียนอนุบาลบางสะพาน ต. กำเนิดนพคุณ อ.บางสะพาน จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้เยาวชน ได้เรียนรู้เรื่องการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรและสิ่งแวดล้อมธรรมชาติในท้องถิ่น ผ่านภาควิชาการและภาคปฏิบัติ กิจกรรมค่ายเยาวชนนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่าเอสเอสไอไม่เพียงแต่ใส่ใจเฉพาะสิ่งแวดล้อมภายในองค์กรหรือภายในโรงงานเท่านั้น แต่ยังคงยึดมั่นในความรับผิดชอบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรของชุมชนอีกด้วย
