Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. (SSI) sponsored the extracurricular class for 43 of teachers, students and parents of Thongchai Vidhaya School on 1-2 December 2011 at Thongchai Vidhaya Scool, Thongchai sub-district, Bangsaphan District, Prachuabkhirikhan Province to use local material to make coconut-stalk broomstick. Not only that the attendants brought home a broomstick and a useful skill for their future extra income activity, but the activity also fortified a relationship among teachers, students and parents. The activity showed students to wisely use their spare time and to encourage the idea of sustainable living.

เอสเอสไอจัดอบรมอาชีพนักเรียนเสริมรายได้ด้วยไม้กวาด

           บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ สนับสนุนการอบรมงานอดิเรกทำไม้กวาดทางมะพร้าวให้กับครู นักเรียนและผู้ปกครองโรงเรียนธงชัยวิทยา จำนวน 43 คน เมื่อวันที่ 1 – 2 ธันวาคม 2554 ณ โรงเรียนธงชัยวิทยา ต.ธงชัย อ.บางสะพาน จ.ประจวบคีรีขันธ์  เพื่อใช้วัสดุที่มีอยู่ในท้องถิ่นทำเป็นไม้กวาด ผู้ที่ผ่านการอบรมได้นำไม้กวาดที่ตนเองได้ทำกลับไปใช้งานที่บ้านและยังได้ทักษะในการทำเพิ่มได้อีก นอกจากนั้น กิจกรรมส่งเสริมงานอดิเรกนี้ยังช่วยเสริมสร้างสัมพันธภาพที่ดีระหว่างเด็กและผู้ปกครองและสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้เด็กรู้จักใช้เวลาอย่างเป็นประโยชน์สำหรับการดำรงตนแบบพอเพียง
