Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI) joined force with the Office of Prachuap Khirikhan Primary Educational Service Area 1 and Bangsaphan Science Teacher Network to arrange “Conservation Youth Camp # 8” for 106 representative students of primary school pratom 5 from 21 schools in Bangsaphan area, in order create environmental conservation network and encourage Bangsaphan youths to realize the natural resources value and to learn to protect the environment for everyone in the future.
Mr. Paichayon Surayathit, Director of the Office of Prachuap Khirikhan Primary Educational Service Area 1, presided over the opening ceremony of the camp. After the ceremony, these young environmentalists joined the camp for 3 days 2 nights. There were many interesting learning points: Forest ecosystem, Mangrove forest ecosystem, Fisherman’s life, Carbon footprint in the ecosystem, Waste management-energy saving, Creating conservation T-shirt, Conservation youth Arsa, Eating habit for life and environment, Planting trees, Making notebooks and learning about global warming issue and its solutions. Young environmentalists can apply the knowledge to their daily life.
Mr. Padungsak Pranudomrat, Assistant Vice President-Public & Community Relations, Public Affairs and Social Responsibility Division, said that “SSI focuses on making good use of natural resources, reducing the usage of unnecessary resources, generating more resources for the lost resources and conserve the environment. SSI has started many environmental campaigns and encouraged local people and staffs to coordinate in enhancing the society and environment. SSI realizes the importance of environmental issue which has always occurred along with economic development. Therefore, SSI has always working while concerning with the environment. Moreover, SSI arranges many campaigns to help improve natural resources and community environment.”
Mr. Pitak Muanjinda, teacher of Baan Kaoman School, said that “Teachers want to encourage these young environmentalists to be the role model for younger generations and transfer their knowledge to other students. In Thai society, there is a lack of young environmentalist. Therefore, these activities should be continuing. Teaching young people about environmental issues is important, as they will become valuable human resources for the country in the future.”
Mr. Kanawat Boonmak, a student from Bangsaphan kindergarten, said that “Joining this camp gives me so much fun. I get to make new friends. I like the paint T-shirt part, as it encourages us to have imagination and the bio-decomposed water, as it can be made by ourselves at home. I’ll tell everyone in my family: my uncle, my aunt and everyone to make it, so that we can use it in our daily life. I want to thank SSI for supporting this camp every year.”

106 เยาวชนร่วมค่ายนักอนุรักษ์SSI

บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอสเอสไอ ร่วมกับสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เขต 1 และเครือข่ายครูวิทยาศาสตร์อำเภอบางสะพานจัดกิจกรรมค่ายนักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์ ครั้งที่ 8 ให้กับตัวแทนเยาวชนนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 จาก 21 โรงเรียนในเขตอำเภอบางสะพาน เข้าร่วมจำนวน 106 คน เพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมและปลูกฝังให้เยาวชนบางสะพานรู้คุณค่าของทรัพยากรที่ใช้ไปในแต่ละวัน รวมถึงการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมให้คงอยู่คู่โลกของเราตลอดไป
กิจกรรมนี้ได้รับเกียรติจาก นายไพชยนต์ สูรยาทิตย์ ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษา ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เขต 1 ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธี จากนั้นนักอนุรักษ์ตัวน้อยได้ร่วมสนุกกับฐานกิจกรรมตลอด 3 วัน 2 คืน ได้แก่ ฐานการเรียนรู้ระบบนิเวศป่าไม้ ฐานระบบนิเวศป่าชายเลน ฐานการเรียนรู้ ชีวิตชาวเล ฐานการเรียนรู้วัดรอยเท้าคาร์บอนในระบบนิเวศ ฐานการเรียนรู้การจัดการขยะ-การประหยัดพลังงาน ฐานการเรียนรู้เสื้อของนักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์ ฐานการเรียนรู้จิตอาสานักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์ ฐานการเรียนรู้กินเพื่อชีวิตและสิ่งแวดล้อม กิจกรรมปลูกต้นไม้บริเวณค่ายนักอนุรักษ์ กิจกรรมสมุดบันทึกเล่มสวยด้วยมือเรา และที่ขาดไม่ได้เลยคือการเรียนรู้วิกฤติโลกร้อนและวิธีการแก้ปัญหา ซึ่งสิ่งเหล่านี้ที่ได้จากค่ายนักอนุรักษ์เยาวชนสามารถนำไปปรับใช้ได้กับชีวิตประจำวันได้จริง
นายผดุงศักดิ์ ปราณอุดมรัตน์ ผู้จัดการสำนักประชาสัมพันธ์ และชุมชนสัมพันธ์ เอสเอสไอ กล่าวว่า “เอสเอสไอให้ความสำคัญกับการนำทรัพยากรธรรมชาติไปใช้ อย่างมีคุณค่าและคุ้มค่าที่สุด ลด ละ เลิก การใช้ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่ไม่จำเป็น รวมไปถึงการสร้างเพื่อทดแทนทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่สูญเสียไป และร่วมอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม ด้วยการริเริ่มและดำเนินโครงการด้านอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมต่างๆ อีกทั้งส่งเสริมให้คนในชุมชนและพนักงานได้มีโอกาสทำกิจกรรมที่เกิดประโยชน์ต่อสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม ได้เรียนรู้ รวมถึงได้ร่วมลงมือปฏิบัติจริงในพื้นที่ต่าง ๆ ผ่านโครงการต่างๆที่ได้จัดขึ้น บริษัท ฯ ตระหนักดีว่าปัญหาเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อมเป็นปัญหาที่มีความสำคัญที่มักจะเกิดควบคู่กับการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและความเจริญก้าวหน้า จึงพยายามดำเนินกิจการที่ไม่มีผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมมาโดยตลอด อีกทั้งยังจัดโครงการต่างๆ เพื่อช่วยปรับปรุงสภาพทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมในชุมชนให้ดีขึ้น”
นายพิทักษ์ เหมือนจินดา ครูโรงเรียนบ้านเขามัน กล่าวว่า “โรงเรียนต้องการปลูกฝังให้นักเรียนเป็นนักอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมที่ดีของประเทศชาติ ให้นักเรียนเป็นต้นแบบนักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์ เพื่อนำไปถ่ายทอดความรู้ให้กับเพื่อนนักเรียนในโรงเรียน สังคมไทย เด็กไทยขาดนักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์ที่มีประสบการณ์ อยากให้มีการจัดกิจกรรมต่อยอดต่อไป เพราะปัญหาเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อมเป็นปัญหาที่มีความสำคัญที่ควรได้รับความสนใจจากทุกฝ่าย การสอนให้เด็กๆ เรียนรู้ตั้งแต่เยาว์วัยจึงเป็นเรื่องสำคัญเพราะเด็กๆ เป็นบุคลากรของประเทศต่อไปในอนาคต”
ด.ช.คณาวัฒน์ บุญมาก นักเรียนโรงเรียนอนุบาลบางสะพาน กล่าวว่า “การได้เข้าค่ายในโครงการค่ายนักอนุรักษ์รุ่นเยาว์ รุ่นที่ 8 สนุกมากและได้รู้จักกับเพื่อนใหม่ ผมชอบฐานกิจกรรมการเพนท์เสื้อเพราะทำให้เราได้มีจินตนาการ และฐานน้ำหมักชีวภาพที่สามารถนำกลับไปทำที่บ้านและบอกต่อยังคุณลุง คุณป้า และให้ทุกคนช่วยกันทำเพื่อที่จะได้นำไปใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน และผมขอขอบคุณเอสเอสไอที่ได้ให้การสนับสนุนกิจกรรมการเข้าค่ายทุก ๆ ปีครับ”
