Sahaviriya staffs help donate to TV Burapha to buy land for Thai plant research center

          Mr. Padungsak Pranudomrat, Public and Community Relations Manager of Sahaviriya Steel Industry Plc (SSI), as a representative of Sahaviriya Group, including Prachuap Pattana Development Co., Ltd., Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Co., Ltd. and Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Plc.,  handed over contributed funds, collected from the companies’ staffs and Bangsaphan community networks to support the campaign “Thai steel for sustainability of Thai rice” to Ms. Pattraporn Sungpuangtong, as a representative of TV Burabha Co., Ltd. The purpose of the campaign is to collect funds for purchasing a land to construct Thai plant research center, Patew, Yasotorn. This research center will help sustain food resources, conserve Thai local plants, encourage agriculturalist to have self-sufficiency to be in line with sufficiency economy and to be a center of knowledge, based on intellect of agriculturalists.

          นายผดุงศักดิ์ ปราณอุดมรัตน์ ผู้จัดการสำนักประชาสัมพันธ์ และชุมชนสัมพันธ์ บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือเอสเอสไอ เป็นผู้แทนพนักงานบริษัทในเครือสหวิริยา ประกอบด้วย บริษัท ประจวบพัฒนา ดีเวลลอปเมนท์ จำกัด  บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน)  บริษัท เหล็กแผ่นรีดเย็นไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) นำเงินที่พนักงานบริษัทต่างๆ และเครือข่ายชุมชนบางสะพานร่วมสมทบทุนในกิจกรรม “เหล็กไทยเพื่อข้าวไทยยั่งยืน” มอบให้กับนางสาวภัทราพร สังข์พวงทอง ผู้แทน บริษัท ทีวีบูรพา จำกัด เพื่อร่วมทอดผ้าป่าสามัคคี ที่วัดป่าสวนธรรมร่วมใจ นำเงินไปจัดซื้อที่ดินก่อสร้างศูนย์วิจัยพันธุ์พืชไทบ้าน อำเภอป่าติ้ว จังหวัดยโสธร ศูนย์วิจัยนี้สร้างขึ้นเพื่อสร้างความมั่นคง ความปลอดภัยทางด้านอาหาร และอนุรักษ์ พัฒนาปรับปรุงพันธุ์ข้าว พันธุ์พืชผักพื้นบ้าน สนับสนุนส่งเสริมให้เกษตรการพึ่งพาตนเองได้โดยใช้เมล็ดพันธุ์ในท้องถิ่นตามแนวทางเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง และเป็นศูนย์กลางการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ภูมิปัญญาของชาวนาและเกษตรอินทรีย์
